Broadway Animal Hospital

Been taking my cats here since I moved in 2020. I never felt they were very thorough for the yearly exams, but things started going downhill for me the last time I took my cat in because he recently went deaf, and then recently when my other cat had a emergency for gallstones, something that maybe should've been checked for in annual exams when I spoke about his flare up with vomiting etc. The vet was very dismissive and acted like I was overreacting when I took my cat in for losing his hearing, and he didn't understand why I wanted to get my cat examined after going deaf. Did not offer to run any test etc. Just said he looked healthy and sent me on my way. It was a super awkward experience. Then recently my other cat had what became a medical emergency, but initially just seemed lethargic. I called them first as my primary. I was put on hold for 20 minutes then I called back and left a voicemail and they didn't get back to me until 4 hours later. I was already at the ER with him. Another vet took me in within an hour that morning and transferred me to the ER. And even the the voicemail they left me said that they were booked out and probably couldn't see my cat. I felt like that was very dismissive and not good prioritization for a client that has been coming for 5 years. I won't be coming back, and am switching the vets that were available for me urgently and not dismissive and more thorough with exams .

Brought my puppy in for the first time, staff were polite, respectful and communicative.

My cat is a nightmare with people, I'll admit. They let you in the exam room which is great, but they made me put a muzzle on her because the trained pros were too afraid, then charged me full price despite only being able to do 1/4 of the actual exam. I called for this year's exam asking for a ballpark estimate to get her put under for a proper exam (which she's never had) so I can make sure I can afford it. The receptionist at 5:30PM on Monday 21/09/2026 said they couldn't, I again said "just a ballpark, like even $500-800. It can be so broad. Just a clue so I'm prepared. She weighs 10lbs." To which they said "Let's be respectful with our tone. I can't give you that estimate." I'm not some 60 year old Karen, my tone was fine. I was clarifying that ballpark doesn't have to be an accurate estimate. Anyway, definitely won't be going back after being spoken to like that. We're in a recession and shits expensive. It's a reasonable thing to ask and I'm not going to be spoken to condescendingly like that. Other than this experience, staff has been very pleasant, even the vet who couldn't do the exam properly. Marked as overpriced just bc like I said, they didn't do the full exam but charged me the full $400.

The veterinary staff is amazing! Everyone loved our cats. With the youngest, the vet sat on the floor with her so she'd be comfortable and let her explore. Our boy is terrified of the vet, but they were so gentle and patient with him that he relaxed, at least as best as he could. I highly recommend Broadway Animal Hospital.
