Only recommend for vaccines and *maybe* standard check-up's. I've had multiple negative experiences with negligence at this vetrinary clinic.
For one, we had a very sick cat who could barely walk with his back legs, yet this was dismissed as "just arthritis" and never acknowledged despite it getting worse. He was also clearly going through kidney issue's but this was neglected as well, and he ended up passing away.
Following this, our other cat started having breathing issue's. We took her in to get checked out and they said "it's just allergies" after listening in to her throat with a stethoscope. No further examination, despite this being acute onset and NOT a previously known health issue of her's. Later that day we had to take her to the er because she kept weezing and found out that her stomach was inside her diaphragm. How does something like that get missed, How does that sound like "just allergies?"
And finally, to top everything off. The worst experience: Our dog, who had ongoing cancer had recently gone to the er due to sudden collapse and loss of mobility. After several hours of waiting, the emergency vet diagnosed it as a stroke (this was expected due to how he was behaving and moving, it was very clear he was leaning to one side and became distressed when directed to the other side). The next day, he had an appointment at this vetrinary office for an unrelated hotspot, and I went with my mom to help. The vet comes in, with the charts forwarded from the emergency vet, and goes "So he was admited for an ear infection?" I just stare in disbelief. Not only is this an outrageous claim to make, but she said this with full confidence and zero evidence. "Umm no, I'm pretty sure it was a stroke. He is really struggling to walk and is heavily favoring one side." I said, a bit hesitant to speak because I was just stunned by this. "Yeah, OR that could be an ear infection." She responds. I simply concede because I'd rather not argue about this since it's irrelevant to the appointment, but she doesn't even bother to check his ear's after these claims. So, what was the point of her trying to argue at all? Just to one-up the other vet? Regardless, she starts to clean his hot spot, and claims with full confidence that it's a spider bite. We think nothing of this, after all it makes sense he would get an infection from a spider in his immuno-compromised state. We take him home, and he get's worse due to the aforementioned stroke, and we make the difficult situation to have a licensed vet come to our home to have him put down. When the vet comes to our house, she say's that while the hotspot could have been triggered by a spider bite, it was potentially due to the type of cancer he had and the tumors it produces, as these can flair up and ooze similarly to spider bites. Now, I understand how a mixup could happen if these things look similar enough, but the fact that this wasn't even mentioned OR considered by murphy's corner vetrinary clinic tell's me that they are either incompetent or simply do not care about the pet's they are treating.
I would also like to add that, when we took in our senior dog with cancer, the same dog mind you, a month or so ago, they swapped his file with another dog and took him in the back and injected him with a painkiller that has the potential to increase the size of his tumors. While they did give us paper's on this medication, they failed to mention this during the appointment and simply brushed it under the rug saying "He'll be feeling good for a month!" Very unprofessional, and we were lucky it was just a painkiller. When that happens to a human, you get fired and can even face legal charges. Yet because it's a dog, they get off scott free.
I understand mistakes happen, and I understand they are human, but when they are exhibiting this behavior consistently, it's no longer just a "simple slip up," it is a clear pattern of incompetent and blatent disregard for your pet's health and safety.
Please avoid taking your pet's here, especially if they are senior's or have serious issue's.
